" Senses when Blind"
I am surrounded in darkness, but I am not alone.
I can hear the breathing of other’s silent voices,
like the echo’s of past memories in the hall of lost hopes and dreams.
I can smell the stale odor of many bodies stuck together,
like the remnants of dirty socks under your brother’s bed.
As I sit I can feel the smoothness of the floor, and picture
sand sifting between my toes. As I walk across an endless
beach to nothing and nowhere.
