Senses
I like the rain.
Sometimes I close my eyes and let the sensations intensify around me.
Everything seems better,
When your lids are shut and you will yourself not to see.
I hear a pitter-patter.
On my shoe, in a puddle, on the glass of a near-by window.
A drop falls in my hair,
It slides down the red strand but the split-end refuses to let go.
When all five senses are restored,
The world returns to it's gray, bleak self and I'm in pain.
When all five senses are restored,
something about my dull surrounding make me dread the rain.
