As I sit, the golden sun's light
Fileter through a tree's branch,
A blue jay dives into flight,
As horses whinny from a nearby ranch

A snap of wind zips into a maple,
Its limbs sway and sunbeams are swallowed by shadows,
And a single leaf flits from its cradle,
But alas, its siblings dangle as if from the gallows

Spring green is painted on the leaf,
Lily yellow splattered in spots,
Upon its edges auburn weaves a wreath,
And jade veins are webbed across in tangled knots

The colors narrate a story of,
A peaceful sunny day,
In a field of green grass smooth as a dove,
While autumn peaks over summer, coming to stay

All this, created by,
A single leaf tumbling,
Because a sharp breeze was nigh,
But as ground approached it went fumbling

I tried to write this poem to create some metaphor...sorry if it was lame.
