When You Left Me Behind.

When you left
I began to leak tears
forgot how to talk
forgot how to live.
You came back
and my tears turned to fire
I learned how to scream
I learned how to live.
You left me
didn't care if I understood
didn't care if I forgave
didn't wonder if I'd forget.
You came back
wanted me to understand
wanted me to forgive
hoped I had forgotten.
When you left
I was sad
I was upset
I was scared.
You came back
I am angry
I am numb
I am nothing.
Can feel nothing at all.
