The Heart Shaped Trap
(The Fall)
It's like I'm trapped,
In a trap I already knew was there.
The trap is called love.
Yet I'd rather call it despair.
(The Boy)
He pretends to care,
But he's glass to my eyes.
I can see right through.
Yet still my heart is an open book.
With an inviting smile,
And I saying come on in take a look.
I've got to shut the book and break free.
Yet like Eve,
I want THAT apple from THAT tree.
