Puke Novas
Like the crackling
of campfire embers
we burn,
shouting our profanities
to the heavens.
Who could care less
for our pain,
our misguidance
and partying.
Our sparkling bodies
decaying fast
in parking lots-
how American of you,
the paper crowns
atop our swelling
heads.
Stick-shifting
I'm ruining your
gears and stripping
the night of its silence
as we scream out the
broken windows
into a highway night.
I will crash down
the stairs
and fall into the pool
in backyard as expected.
Here, hallelujah
Americana!
Sparklers and cigarettes
waving!
Broken bottles
line the hall
and our bodies
are hot and
sticky as we make
dancing seizures
across the living room floor.
Slumped in backseats
of disgruntled taxi cabs
in the faint morn hours
we are bleary-eyed
and sick.
Our patriotic puke
stains the lawns of
suburbia as we arrive
back in our kingdoms.
Sleeping in our thrones,
our bodies bright stars
to super novas.
