Perhaps, in the silence,
in each other’s arms,
they could feel something—real,
something to ease their bewildered minds
They’re searching
Where was it?
Why wasn’t it in their hands?
Shh!—keep reaching!
Could they feel it? Could they feel
the life in their grasp, hear its rhythm?...
Yes!...But, why is it cold?
Where’s the passion?
Where’s the love?
They’re reaching
His love is at their fingertips
His grace, just right below
Could they feel it, the pulsation?
Could they muster the strength to
reach out…knowing that they may fall?
