New Beginning

God has granted me a gift
And I wonder what it’ll be like
I haven’t opened it yet
I don’t know what there is to discover
I won’t know until I have permission to open the sacred box
He has told me that He has a gift for me
But it is hundreds of miles away
It will take more than one plane ride to get there
It will take memories, car rides, road trips, bad times, good times, and beautiful times
To get to that gift
I probably won’t know how precious it is until long after it is opened
Or I may notice the blessing right away
But I already see a twinkle of hope
Just knowing that I can start over
Is a gift
