Moments
There's a place

 a million miles away

 with crystal skies

 sun sparkling bright

 clear cascading floods of water

 maybe there's a place

 more perfect than this

 we hold hands and laugh

 our hearts growing warmer

we lay and gaze up at the stars

heavy eyes drifting off to sleep

 my dreams, they soar

 anthem of my silent peace

 decisions made

 time well spent

 memories crackle above the fire

sparks of light that soon will die

 how could this end

 a fantasy

how could we come so far

 just to

 fall apart we're scarred

 but let's remember

 this perfect place

 an outcropping over empty space

 treetops and craggy mountain peaks

like the broken ends of our last dreams

can't help but make us wonder

 if something can live forever

 will it burst apart

 there's something to discover

 a new beginning

 a different place

 things come back to life

 one little ember

 and we can all remember

 all these years

 won't end in crying

 all these tears

 flood right on by

 but something's steadfast

 doesn't wash away

 bonds through time

 will never fade

 one framed picture

 a moment remains

 there's a memory it seems

 a million miles away

 crystal skies

 sun sparkling bright

 clear cascading floods of water

 some things, i've learned

 grow far too strong

 to ever fall apart.
