Don't Censor Me
Don't censor me because of my race
Cause that's racism at its fullest
And you said racism was bad,
now you say I can't talk because of the color of my hand?

 Don't censor my words
Cause that's all I have left
You strip us of our culture and now you take my word,
 shred it to pieces,
because you don't like what I said?

 Don't censor my looks
 when I protest on TV
Because this is who I am, a person,
not a checklist of standards that I could never meet
And I will not stand by as you destroy my people and my home
So don't censor the cruelty of your words
 When war is clearly war

Don't censor me because you censor yourself
 I don't need a black bar shield,
when all I'm doing is spitting truth,
while the ashes swirl by of the bodies you bombed and said it was the other guys

Don't censor me because I said it wasn't them,
 it was you
These people need to know the truth
Not the ones dipped in sugar
But the ones grown sour from being held back for so long

So don't come at me, saying I'm a safety hazard,
When you're the one clearly putting bullets into human sockets
 And spilling brain matter
and selling organs on the black market for half a mill

And yet you tell us to trust you with all our might
as if you have a right to tell me what to do
When you don't even keep the promises you made to me
like the way you say you do

Don't you dare censor me because of what I can't control
Acting as if I'm humanity as a whole,
And then passing the blame on me,
like I'm responsible for the actions of society

I'm just one person and I will not be blamed for actions never taken
And I have a mouth, so I'll run it till I'm all out of words
and I'm rotting in my grave
Till the blood stops spilling and the bodies stop falling
And till there's no more hate and corruption

 I will not be censored!
