Perfect Imperfection
perfect imperfection
the faded photograph
sepia-tone, bent and torn, soft in the folds
his girl and her boy
worn-thin straw summer hat, green-checkered, white-buttoned jumper
black dress suit, pale blue tie to match the ceiling of heaven
hands in gentle embrace
lips overflowing with laughter and passion
heads tipped back in comfortable unison
her blond hair mingles with the electric air
clashingly matched
a potent stain of the prettiest (purest) moment
he scrawls confessions of love on her lips
writes passion on her arms
breathes the color of her cheeks
tastes the feel of her embrace
inhales every fiber of her being but
can’t read her eyes
they are happiest oblivious
