When I die
When I die
Will hope die with me?
The hope for individuality
The hope for kids to see a field
With tree after tree after tree
The hope to live life differently
From everybody else
The hope that we'll be confident
From deep inside our selves
Where unique would be encouraged
And strange and weird not even words
A creativity that flourished
For dreams to fly, yes just like birds
Or would we all be broken
Just like some of us are now
Cruel and unforgiving
A sneer that surely
stirs up growls
Now surely you agree
A life like that just isn't right
That every one should live
Always reaching for the light
