Welcome to
A mad masquerade;
Roses and make up
In every shade.

Men all dressed up
With honey for lips.
Enchanting the girls
With their witty clips.

The girls are all giddy,
Dressed in their best.
Hiking up their dresses
And showing their chest.

Each of these are differed
Simply by their gender.
They all have the same mask
Bought from the same vendor.

In this mad masque
This is our way.
Say, my dear,
Why don't you stay?

This was originally going to be a fiction piece but I found it flowed better as a poem. Please rate and comment and check out my other work.
