As You Fall With Me
We stand by the cliff
 The ocean below us dances
 An old, haunting waltz
 Loud rage it lets fourth
 Screaming its protests
 And yet we stand still
Our eyes lost in the mesmerizing show
Our hands lock tightly onto each other
My dress swells at the winds touch
Your clothes are caked with spring mud
I step closer, wanting to see more
A poison to the eye this beauty is
But you stop me, your arms pulling me back
Lips tell me no, eyes tell me go
So I jump into the sea that has gone insane
 I descend

 I feel nothing but freedom
 A child’s joy bubbles up
You’d never let me go, I know
Still my heart beats wildly when my eyes catch a glance, a quick, beautiful picture
 of you falling with me.
