The Meaning of Life
When I am alone
 I ponder things, such as
 The meaning of life.
 But then the world
Puts it’s weight on my shoulders
And I think of happier things.

I think of children chasing butterflies
Or of dew drops on rose petals.
 I think back to
The best memories of my childhood.
 I think of the
 Times when I was happiest.

 As I enjoy my bliss
I block out the real world.
I love those times when I
Am so absorbed in my happiness
 That I forget
 The troubles I have.

 Even though I am happy,
 It is only momentary.
 I come back to reality
To realize that I am living
 In my memories.
