Bird Over Water
The wings aflutter,
Its colors dancing across the blue sky,
The majestic dance,
Of the bird over water.
A sweet sound it sings,
A pleasant song to listen to,
As it flies higher,
Just to plunge back to the ground.
Continuing to circle overhead,
A feather gently falls,
Landing in the midst of the water,
Creating subtle ripples.
The bird too,
Slowly glides downwards,
Its feet tracing a line,
Over the wavering surface of the lake.
The fish come to the surface,
Wondering what was moving about,
The shadow’s dance on the water,
The shadow of the bird over water.
