"Screw the shining armor. I will take my man in dirty camo any day"

Metal bars hold me in,
Cold sweat chills my face.
Staring at these empty walls,
Waiting, alone in this cell
For a hero to save me.
To save me, save me from myself.

A drop of water hits cement,
The feel of icy walls.
Reassures me, that I really am,
Alone, and lost.

Like a lonely bird flying home,
But arrives to find, a burnt charred tree.
Who comes to realize, it has no home.

Like an inmate in a prison,
Who knows his crime was not committed,
By him but by another.
But he sits alone and waits,
Taking the crime he committed.

Loneliness makes some hold on,
Loneliness makes some loose grip.
But no matter what you do,
Remember, someone, somewhere,
Is waiting, and waiting for you.

Holding out scared hands,
Hanging on for dear life.
Waiting for the one,
To bring you to the light.

Loneliness will end,
But only by your amend,
Call out for help when needed,
And hang on until the end.

Thanks. I think when I wrote this I tried to hard because 1. I had to share it with my class (Which stressed me out a lot) and 2. I had my English grade riding on it.

I like this one though not always with consistent meter or rhyme it is very good. I'm not sure which part I liked most of it. That the sin was not committed by you I'd guess
