Listen
Battling through pain, battling through sorrow
Who says anything will change tomorrow.
It’s been a while since I’ve felt this alone,
Sometimes I don’t even feel welcome at home.

They say there is happiness in solitude,
You just have to change your attitude.
But when is a little too much,
And soon you become too far to touch.

 Words, lies, rumors and whispers.
After all this time I thought we were sisters.
The words form sentences, the lies believed true
And all those rumors came directly from you.

Dirty stares, turned faces, pointing fingers,
Now I know better than to linger.
Because if I do, I actually fear,
I will never make it out of here.

Day after day, week after week,
I wish I could stand up and say something,
Instead of staying here quiet and meek.

 But who would listen?
 That’s the problem.
 No one.
