I walk
Along a road with nothing to my left
With nothing to my right
With just road stretched out before me
And road stretched out behind
At some points in my life the road itself stretches under me
And I have no choice but to go
But then at other times it doesn't
But I still find myself moving on
Sometimes I walk past things
Great buildings and huge parks
People so many people
But at most points nothing is everywhere
I walk and walk
Wearing down my shoes
Growing and learning
Learning and yearning
Yearning for a home
For a place to stop
Many suitables came
But the road stretched on
And what if better was awaiting?
So I continued
I walked and walked
Passing people
People who at the time of seeing were everything
The light of the world
But then the road moved on
And sometimes
As the road itself moved under me
I too moved
Ran even
To speed it along
When in actuality
I should've been jumping back
Trying to live in the moment
The moment which was trying to be taken away
I walked and walked
Until one day I fell
I made a bad step and on my own merits fell
And as I lay there
The very road moved under me
And scratched my entire front and face
Some cuts small
Others deep
Long harsh gashes
Stuffing rocks down into my skin
After falling on my own the world did show
It did show real pain
But on it's own merits
Or maybe my own
From never stopping to begin
From wearing myself to exhaustion
But the road kept on!
So where was I stop
What I found out that day
Is that the world will grow on forever
It will keep spitting new and trying to move you
More is always out there
But what I found
What I have taken
Is that everyone chooses to move
And I decided to do naught
