River Solace
Two pairs of feet,
Submerged beneath the nipping waves of cool water.
 Fingers casually intertwined.
The dew of the river grasses refreshing our sprawled limbs.

In a refuge of our own,
We would at last be willing to confide,
In each other truths long unrecognized.
 Far from roads,
 Distanced from life.

But further down to the salt water and grasses,
We find our long unfound solace.
Picking at flowers of small and sweet
 Everything unfolds as dreamed.
And we know each other as we never have before.

If only we could find the time,
 To find each other,
In the land that knows, no time.
