I can’t think straight, my head is pounding.
The alarm rings, it starts resounding.
Blood rushes through my brain, my heart sinks.
You pass out papers, this really stinks.
The scratching of chalk, pencils pounding.
The sighs and groans that are surrounding.
I look at the first question and try to think.
I can’t concentrate, I can’t even blink.
The solutions in my head are rebounding.
But the problems on the test keep abounding.
I can’t understand how the paper and ink
Could cause my mind and intelligent to shrink.
I flip the page, it is astounding.
All the problems are confounding.
I look at the clock, I’m at the brink.
With only scribbles on the paper, I am a missing link.
This test is oh so grounding,
But then the alarm starts resounding.
The test is over and I can think.
But my score will definitely be on the brink.
