Imaginary World
Fragile wings of butterflies
caress me as I close my eyes
To stop my silent screams and cries
they fill my mind with desperate lies
The pleasant touch of gentle kisses
are able to fulfill my never ending wishes
But when they stop their guiltless bliss
my heart shall forever eternally miss
Words of deception cascade from the breeze
Whispers of secrets flow through the trees
My wounds and scars will always bleed
Artificial stories no longer set me at ease
Covering my weaknesses are candy clouds
These things I can’t hide don’t make me proud
I dream to pretend, conceal myself from the crowd
but drops of sorrow expose my sins loud
Crystal petals on fragrant flowers
radiate mysteries full of power
In the spotlight I can’t help but cower
as reality and hurt comes down in a shower
Promises to heal and remove my pain
is only lost in the fresh falling rain
Calls for help spin down the drain
because truth replaces false love with stains
All feelings of comfort will be taken
It turns out my contentment was truly mistaken
Don’t know how to feel because I’m so shaken
But this hell may be spared for tomorrow I may not waken
