A Walk in the Rain
I walked in the rain today
Through the fog
Through the mist
Through the puddles on the ground
I shoved my hands in my pockets
I hummed lightly to myself
I stepped on the road and walked into the forest
The raindrops were a symphony around me
I stretched out my palms
I felt raindrops collect in my hands
I turned my palms over
I watched the water form tiny lakes on the ground
Crickets were chirping
Birds were singing
And leaves crunched under my feet
I bent over to remove my shoes
I turned my face to the grey sky
The sky is crying
I reach my hands up and feel the earth all around me
Water on my skin
Dirt on my feet
Wind in my eyes
And I feel peace
