as the wisefriend thinfaced beauty
of a hundred different ghosts of seasons surround me
I gently discard the shell of your experience
and eat the soft bland fruit inside-
You did not fill me up
you were not even a friend
you only coated my tongue with temporary flavours
and melted in my hands
I only cried for seconds
in the speed of falling sand
No, I’m not saying you wasted my time
It was my time to give away and I gave it
And I’m not saying I didn’t feel for you,
I just don’t feel for you now.
