Strip me bare
Rub my salty skin
The illness makes me sweat
Cleanse me
Soothe my heart
Appease my cries
Whisper never to me lies

Put me to bed
Under the soft warm covers
Let me drift off to heaven
Escape the monsters
Please lull me to sleep
No more tears
No more fears

And when I wake
In a frantic hot sweat
Open the window and
Give me a cold wet washcloth
I'll change my clothes
And fall back asleep until dawn
Wake in the morning
Wake of the mourning

Today must be the day
Preparations completed
Scaling the building
Top- top- top-
You kiss me and
Wipe the one tear from my cheek
Time to jump down
I see the whole town

Then.
Nothing.
