Broken Glass
Inside
I touch the cold glass
And wish it shatters
beneath my trembling fingers
So I will not get crushed
by the weight
Of the heavy light sky
The fragile bonds
Can take the pain
Of being on the outside
Looking in
And I can float
Up or down
It does not matter
As long as there is no more
The bird beats its wings
Against the clear glass
It cannot be seen
Crushing, crushed, trembling feathers
Somebody come
Before it is too late
I want to fly
Out of this cage
Glass is fragile
It does not break
And what does it matter
If I am free
And everyone else
Is inside?
