Dream
I wake up to you
I let your shivers in.
We sneak in bed.
The suns not up yet.
Getting lost in your arms.
Holding your cold hands.
I’m laying there partly dreaming.
Your breath on my neck.
Our body’s intertwined.
I drift into a new situation.
You’re gone and he’s here.
His skin so soft on mine.
I’m laughing for no reason.
I lean in to kiss him.
And you wake me up.
I see your face and I panic.
As if I did something wrong.
You’re still acting so sweet.
So it’s obvious you don’t know.
These dreams are recurring.
They haunt me during the day.
I’m so happy with you.
So why do my dreams disagree.
