Night falls as if it were day
Bad things happen, then fade away
Sadness comes, and falls to joy
The light of laughter we al employ

As these things end, others begin
Wash ourselves of all our sin
Evil's everywhere, it runs rampant
And the brightness of good is dampened

In the end, light penetrates dark
And shows the essence of who we are
