Guilt, or indecision?
Guilt or Indecision
it creeps up
and grabs you,
a moral foot cramp.
that electric pang
squeezes squeezes squeezes;
try to massage it away,
tell yourself,
“but I meant well”.
It doesn’t care about intentions
not one bit.
it just keeps squeezing until
you step down
break down
lay down
then the squeezing stops
because there’s nothing left.
empty in the middle-
two separate pieces of one.
