Half A Face
Its festive time,
I can hear the bells chime,
But I can’t leave these four walls,
To go to bright stalls,
Earrings, bangles,
Suits and sandals,
Are not for a girl like me,
Who have lost their key,
To a happy and beautiful life,
To be someone`s wife.
Don’t feel bad,
I have a big whole family to be sad!
My sisters sympathize,
My long-lost-friends criticize,
My dear old parents worry,
My brave brothers feel sorry.
But what is all this to m,
If he still roams free,
He who hit me with an acidic mace.
And gave me half a face.
