The Girl In The Window
I see a girl in the window
She is tall and beautiful
I have seen her before.
She stands there like an elegant queen
Waiting for her carriage to arrive.
I see a girl in the window,
She is full of hopes and dreams,
She is in love with a boy,
A boy who doesn’t even know her.
I see a girl in the window
She is dressed in all blue
To show the sadness within.
I wonder why she is sad,
Then I think why shouldn’t she be
Her hopes and dreams have been crushed
The boy barely knows she exist
And yet there is still a light shining through.
I see a girl in the window
She looks familiar
Then I come to know
The girl in the window is me.
