Thriving By Moonlight
Trapped alone in the dark,
 I feel the whispers pulling me,
 turning me down the wrong path,
 trying to make me go mad.

 Desperate to escape this Labyrinth;
 to taste the cool wind,
 to feel the colors of the outside world.

 Using wings of bronze,
 I break free.
 Soaring over the ocean,
 carelessly enjoying freedom.

 The wind catches me in her grip,
 and throws me onto a nonexistent island
 where plants grow and thrive by moonlight.

 Time never progresses.
 Then I see her;
 her skin, a creamy caramel,
 eyes the color of hope.

 As suddenly as she appears,
 I drift away
 in endless wonder.
