His Eyes
His eyes are not blue.
sapphire
ocean
azure
sky
No, not blue
but that is
it’s name.
It isn’t just
blue.
There’s green.
but not green.
grass
emerald
lime
jade
And then if
you catch him
at just
the right
angle
There’s yellow too.
but it’s more than that.
sunshine
lemons
daffodils
gold
And most of the time
his eyes are a lovely
melody of the three,
A color I call
perfection.
That’s not the
best part.
the best part
is when
he
looks
outside
and the sunlight catches
in his eyes so
you can’t do
anything except
smile.
