Entitlement
I do this thing where I think I’m entitled to speak
I just let my emotions loose
And don’t think for a second
That my “freedom of speech” – when it comes to my feelings –
Have an impact
Carelessly expressing my loneliness
Could be hurting the person who thinks
I’m here for you
Recklessly voicing my rejection
Is insulting the integrity of those who face even worse
But since I’m just saying this
And no one’s really listening
The only one I’m hurting
Is myself
