Midnight
Erase the humility,
capsized at sea,
storm through the deepest tears,
and fears of uncertainty,
I apologize,
for I’ve wasted all my tricks,
and dig so deep to find the words,
but the words themselves,
cannot expose the depth of the pages,
my dear,
our ship has been tossed,
and thrown upon the horizon,
but there’s still something left,
or else I wouldn’t define this,
as a lovely sight,
for the bounty did fight,
for proof of my love,
no flight set above,
now overcome,
as a secret desire,
to steal you away,
like the drowning of truth,
the taking of a wave,
for if I died upon that night,
at least I’d smile upon the sight,
of you by my side,
as depth collides,
upon the sweet taste of midnight
