My demons are shadowed
by the corners of my eyes
but every time I try to hide
my demons overwhelm me
They dance behind my eyelids
as my conscious mind rests
they rake over my mind in silence
draining my precious gold
The abyss of absence consumes me
as I slip under salt
Waves crash over my eyes
but my demons will never drown
