The Fight Continues...

Words have a fire to them,
Heating up the hearts of many,
When used with the correct emphasis,
At the correct moment,
Spoken by a heart that feels every spark shooting from his lips,
The truth inspires us at times,
As well as our love for the soil on which we have grown,
But sometimes the truth is too much to handle,
Or dangerous for certain parties involved,
Removing the illusion can risk the life of the speaker,
But nevertheless the truth must be told,
It must be known,
We may die,
But let not only our words but their meaning live on,
Through the generations,
Through the pages of history,
If we are to die,
Bury us alive,
For we speak until we are six feet below mankind,
We are the ones,
The mother,
The daughter,
The solider,
We are only people,
And yet the course of our future and the future of our children,
Depend on us,
The people.

Patriotism is something that is beautiful and growing uncommon among the youth. I have written this piece to reach out to those who don't understand the need for it or want for it. I have written this to describe what I feel and was inspired by the love I have for this country.
