So I write this as I go,
Something for gratitude that I'd like to show.
I write this for you, those who read.
I hope you know that your effort is like a growing seed.
For you encourage, you encourage me.
This becomes courage and allows me to be free.
You gave me these words, so they flow off the keys.
You gave me these words, so I'll make you some trees.
I'll show you the result, I will show you the way.
You made this path, the one that I walk on each day.
You chose my future, by helping my present.
You are the reasons that I don't resent.
To all of you, I love what you have done.
You may not know this, but I have yet begun.
For something like this, will never be written down.
I write as I go, for ink is no good if the paper is brown.
So I save my breath, and I only reveal this to you.
Something special, something that is new.
A couple of minutes, my mindless rant.
But you gave me courage, and I'll never say "can't"
