A trial here, a problem there
a faulty friendship to repair
is all part of the way of life
won through hardships and bitter strife

The gift heaven has brought to us
trampled as if a speck of dust
because of frustration and stress
from those unworthy of life's test

but i won't act as others do
happiness is what i pursue
eternal joy as the reward
righteous in the eyes of the lord

A smile here, compliments there
positive feelings left from prayer
facing problems without complaint
learning to love instead of hate

This is a really sweet poem.  I love it!  Relatable, too.  I love the line "but I won't act as others do  . . . happiness is what I pursue."  that's how everyone should think!  Beautiful work!
