Teardrops
slip
down
my shocked face

I watch you
wither away
and turn
bitter

I hear the rough insults
that are shot like arrows
at my defenseless heart

I mourn the love
that you used to give
Now you hold it back
too scared to let it go

Now sobs rack my body
as I realize
I am talking about myself

see, i thought this was another typical "lost love" poem, but the twist at the end was great. i really like this.
