My family is a circus
With a new act everyday.

My Dad is the ring leader
Trying to control the act.
But ends up the elephant,
Destroying everything in its path.

My Mom is the acrobat
Going with the flow.
Suppressing all emotions,
But terrified to fall.

My Sisters are the clowns
Who always stick together.
But they are unaware of their surroundings,
Dumbfounded when a pie hits them in the face.

Lastly I am the lion tamer
Trying to control the animals all around us,
Ready to strike at any moment
To try and tear us all apart.

This poem is inspired by my family and how each of us play a role in act of our lives.
