dreamless

silent
goes the city as it hushes to
bed, it
keeps on breathing, but softly
the night
skies
are full of light, it's like the sun never
went down
on
us,
it's like the city will never fully sleep
just like i have
never known the taste of dreams
upon my lips
in this god-forsaken place we call
reality,
the city puts its finger on those
waiting
lips.

Okay, wow. Great job as always Jade! I was kinda wondering why you were making the lines uneven at first, then I realized that was what you were aiming for. In other words, I loved how you swapped it up and gave it an unexpected flow. Keep going Jade!

This is really pretty freaking amazing. The line "in this god-forsaken place we call reality" totally grabbed me. If escapism is an element to this, then you captured it beautifully.
