Emotion
Emotion.
It'll all I find worth living for.
Because in the end,
don't we die for nothing but cause?
And yes maybe, it isn't practical
But anything practical is boring
And hope springs from new life
Which can only be made
From true emotion
Or lack of it
Or a sum of some
But you were my emotion
And now I've got none
We hid everything
From even ourselves
Civil manners, the status-quo
We did not wish to disturb it
Made sure to live by it
But that was practical
And held no emotion
Oh what we could have achieved
If either of us had been a little bit stronger
This is what I fear the most
The what-ifs, the maybe's, the could have been's
The sheer knowledge that the grass,
truly was greener on the other side.
Time passed, the sun set
And my window of opportunity
Was shut with a bang
Signaled the end of what could have been.
Not of course, without leaving me
Just a taste of purity.
A taste of emotion.
A little note to remind me
Seize the day for today
If not now, then never
If never then a failure
And a failure because of one thing.
Emotion.
