Your Demons
tear stained pillow no longer, my love
if kisses could soothe all your pain,
I would kill every inch of your broken soul
 every minute
 of every hour
 of every day.
I will fill your eyes with light
 illuminated straight from my heart
and put back the tender memories
 of soft lavender,
 cotton sheets,
 and daisy fields.
I will steal all of your demons,
and lock them in my keeping
so they'll both you no longer.
 But when kisses aren't enough,
when your eyes are overtaken by the darkness
and the demons come creeping back under
 the gates of your mind,
I will be here to give you
 one last kiss,
 one last flicker of hope
