Beyond
What do I know beyond what I am?
Where do light rays cease to beam?
Where do waves end their writhing?
In my mind I see the walls of shadow
Looming up ahead; I do not fear
Fear is but sentiment, and I am moving on.
Past the beaten bush, a lilly
Splaying its petals wide in greeting
Shakes to the sound that rings in the sky.
Where do I go? Where have I been?
But, perhaps, it’s useless to question so.
What do I know beyond what I am?
