It's kind of fun to do the impossible!

I am all of the fifteen years that make me
I may have been beyond...
I will be more

I sit on the family rock
and look up to the skies,
Forever fascinating, changing,
random, beguiling, light and limitless
So much physics rolling in colors of chemistry
served with soft poetry
An education so near -
a schooling so far,
I climb down - for my time is counted
I fit back into my square hole
so much learning to do -
from places and books who've had more years
and turned the song of education into a cacophony
I see their years count their burden
I see small fountain heads struggling upwards
then bulldozed by the roads we must develop to grow,
I look up to the skies
I hope it holds us in this tight hug
beyond our follies and our chaos
beyond the years that go on
to the wisdom it bestows so simply
For all the fifteen years I've been filed
I hope to fiercely protect the spark
and stay a little round in my square hole.
