Poeta nasicur, non fit. (a poet is born, not made)

There shadows lay,
by night and day
they heard the tramp of doom,
the mountain smoked beneath the moon.
It left the world and took flight
over the wide seas of the night.

The lakes shall shine and burn,
at the mountain-king’s return.
Under the Mountain dark and tall
The King has come unto his hall.
The King beneath the mountains,
the lord of silver fountains.
The king of carven stone,
shall come into his own!
Come haste! Come haste!
Across the waste!
