I miss you

The sun is so bright and high in the sky; when I think of this I think of you smiling
The sun is so warm on my face; I think of you hugging me
The birds are singing their summer song; I think you’re teaching them to sing
When the sun is setting on the horizon turning a baby blue sky light pink I like to think of our memories we shared
When I'm in bed praying I know that you're happy now because I'm happy
And God has blessed me for what I knew and still know: how much I love and miss you
