Take me away from here.
I desire to feel the comfort and warmth
of your arms around me.
This place is full of burdens and
misfortunes that confront and
criticize my every move.
I wish that you would come
and take me; take me somewhere else.
To a place where my naïve eyes can see
the genuine and authentic truth.
When you take me, I want the blissful sun
to take my clammy hand – and lead me to reality.
