The rape joke
is that it was her father
that touched her while tears streamed down her face.
The rape joke
is that she can't look a man in the eyes now
for fear of being manipulated again.
The rape joke
is that your best friend opens her own skin to rid herself of the demons that ate up her childhood.
The rape joke
is the scarring inside her that could prevent her from conceiving children.
The rape joke
is that the man who stole her innocence,
walks a free man.
The rape joke
isn't funny.
